Shine Power Yoga Leadership Team
Wanda Feliciano (She/Her)
Wanda is a passionate, service-minded leader who loves to lead students of all experiences. She began her Yoga Journey 31 years ago when she took her first Power Yoga Class with her teacher Baron Baptiste. Wanda’s background as an Athletic Trainer who worked with professional athletes began in 1990 and power yoga just felt like a natural extension to that skill set. She completed her first 200-hour teacher training in 1998, her second 200 hours in 2000 and as of today has over 1000 hours of yoga training completed.
Wanda founded SHINE Yoga Project in 2003 right before the birth of her third child and it has been a successful staple to communities in both North Carolina and New Jersey.
Noel Stavola (She/Her)
Noel has been a Shine Leader since 2014. Noel began her journey into teaching yoga after taking her first 200-hour Training with Anjali Yoga in 2012. Since that time Noel has completed a variety of other trainings including; Baptiste Level 1 + 2, Yin, Breathwork, Stand Up Paddle Board Yoga (SUP YOGA), Lightyear Leadership Course, and Yohola Wheel to name a few. To further acknowledge Noel's passion to learn and grow; when Noel was asked to name the trainings she has already completed for this bio, she jumped on the opportunity to talk about the next training she already has her sights set on. This shows the commitment Noel has to not only to the growth of her yoga teaching style but also to her own personal practice and self-development. Noel not only has a strong connection to self-development she is also highly passionate about being of service to others. Noel regularly volunteers her time and energy and resources to communities in need. Noel is a leader who captures what we call being of service. She balances out being of service to others as well as herself. As one of your leaders for teacher training, you will experience the radiant love and faith Noel shares with others.
Kathryn Shollenberger (She/Her)
Kathryn is an enthusiastic leader at Shine. Her journey with Shine Power Yoga began in 2015. Kathryn grew up involved in many physical sports; basketball, softball, volleyball, and competitive dance so her need for movement followed her into her adult life. In her early 20's working as a hairstylist Kathryn's physical body was taking a toll, working long hours standing and doing demanding physical + emotional job led her to find Shine. A client had mentioned she might enjoy a power yoga practice recommended Shine & after one class Kathryn hasn't left!
After completing a Shine Weekend Immersion she set the goal to compete YTT within 5 years. At the 5 year mark the 2020 Global Pandemic hit and her time in the salon was put on a complete hold for 4 months. This complete stop to her daily life, allowed her to step back and revisit her goals. In 2021 Kathryn completed Shines 200 YTT along with a certification in YIN 1. Since then Kathryn has quit her salon job and partnered with Wanda here at Shine. Kathryn has a personal commitment to spreading the power of what yoga can offer; physically, mentally, emotionally & spiritually. Kathryn continues to learn and honor the ancient yoga philosophy along with modern strengthening movements. As a leader, she is passionate about growth & accountability; not only to herself but for the entire Shine Community.
Taryn Fallon (She/Her)
Taryn practiced yoga for the first time at Shine in 2015, and left with a sense of balance and peace she had never known. The practice itself was transformative; as a human she was struck by the authenticity and warmth of the community; as a physical therapist she was deeply impressed by the knowledge of the leaders. A need to dig deeper, and a passion to share this life-changing practice, soon led her to a Shine Leadership Immersion, followed by Shine 200hr YTT in 2018, Yoga for the Special Child Level 1, #Unstoppable Baptiste Youth Yoga, and Yin Levels 1 and 2 trainings. She has been teaching at Shine since 2019 and has led 40 Days to Personal Revolution and Teaching Kids Yoga workshops. Taryn loves helping empower her students to find something new for themselves and leads with love from a background in anatomy with a focus on alignment.
